Pheww

I'm beyond the point of being tired, I'm knackered, exhausted, stressed out and angry. I'm trying to force myself to writing 'cause the few times I've tried before have ended really soon 'cause I've became so pissed of. This kind of renovation must be one of the most stressful situations that you can be in. Million things to do and think about, you never can have enough money to do everything you need, or TIME! At the same time it would be nice to even try to enjoy the summer...

In about week and a half this will be done. I'll be leaving my home for three months. And I'm so looking forward to it, 'cause that means all this hustle will be over. Fortunately I have a fabulous summer coming up! I have many nice things planned. Anyway enough with the moaning, here's the pics I promised about what my kitchen and bathroom lookss like now. These pics are taken a few months back.

The tiles are cracking off the floor in the bathroom, and there are wires hanging in the kitchen. I can't wait to get everything working properly and efficiently!

Panic!

I just realized that I have only few weeks to pack my life into boxes! Then I will be homeless. I can't come to MY HOME for three months. Before I leave, I need to go through all of my things, and decide what to keep and what not, sounds easy but isn't. There's lot's of stuff I've found from some vintage stores or flea markets over the years that I've fallen in love immediately when seen them. For some reason I never really use any of that stuff, it just piles up in my closet...but it's not easy to get rid of them, 'cause they are rare treasures that I've found! So, my idea is to pull everything out of my drawers and closets(and apparently make an even worse mess) and make a thorough inventory. If I haven't used something(or even remembered it exists) for a year I'll sell it or dump it. Sounds easy doesn't it?

Well it isn't! Like last night I sat on my floor and went through my "treasures", which means vintage handbags, lots of scarves and jackets, and almost cried about the fact that I have to get rid of them! It's like an end of an era, my teenage years, like selling my identity! (yes I know I'm being too dramatic..) Anyway I have too much stuff, nothing fits anywhere, there's a horrible mess all them time so I need to get rid of something. If it means selling my identity then that's how it shall be. Growing up hurts doesn't it.

Btw I've been planning my living room! I have loads of ideas, and found a gorgeous table from our country homes attic, didn't get any pictures of it though, but it's an authentic vintage table from 1920's or 1930's. Really excited about that! Going to post about my plans later.

New found passion

New found passion for both of us I think.
As you can see this post has nothing to do with my home, but that's because there's nothing going with that right now. It's just a big mess since my vacuum broke down and I have two dogs....I bet you can imagine what's that like, not nice I can tell you. And there has been all other fun things going on, I haven't had time to even think about cleaning up. So no pics coming of my home right now..

I love to photograph, love love love love it! I'm not really good at it yet, and don't always know what to do with my camera, but I try! Sometimes the results end up just the way I wanted...mainly they don't. My camera is Canon EOS 1000D, not a really pro camera but still good enough for me to practise.

It's finally strating to get summerish and warm here, and because of some annoying events and boredom, me and my friend decided to go and lounge around to "my park" that's next to my home. She took her hulahoop with her, and the results can be seen here! Not perfect, but good enough pics to show here. Thank's to Sushirobot for letting me take pics...again! Sorry the pics are huge, I still haven't figured out how to make them appear smaller here, but could be viewed bigger when you click on the picture...any ideas anyone? Anyway, click the pics, and you see the entire picture.

Yellow Fever

It's spring, allmost summer, and again like every year my head is full of yellow thoughts! To me yellow is the color of spring, and I have a need to surround myself with yellow things. This year I can't really buy anything yellow 'cause the big plumming project is coming up, so I decided to put all my yellow energy to planning my new home!

The pic with the yellow wall bathroom is great! I don't like the wallpaper that is next to the door, but for some reason that black&yellow combo works really well with the old bathtub..droool. Someday I'll have a bathtub like that(when I have a big enough bathroom first).

Maybe I should paint my doors yellow! My cupboard doors are allmost excatly like those in the pic, it could look really good, and it's easy to paint over them when I get bored to the colour, something to think about at least. They don't even need to be yellow, just some colour I feel like painting them when the time comes. Oh goody, I like that idea! Pics of my home coming up soon.

Inspiration - it's all about the shine

Loving the shine!!Hating the counter tops...

This steel counter top is great...wish I could have that...

Or this concrete one, I like the warehouse feel to it!

I'd love to have a black and shiny kitchen. But because I'm planning to sell my apartment in the future I think it's wiser to stick to the basics...but with a twist. I'm going for boring white, but shiny white! White or black it needs to shine! I'd also love to have all steel counter tops, or ones made of concrete. For most it's too "extreme" so I'll pick a more conservative counter top too.

My kitchen is going to be bought mainly from Ikea, 'cause they have nice designs and it's cheap. I don't wan't to spend lot's of money to a kitchen in an apartment that I'm going to sell fairly soon anyway, or atleast rent it out. I had a really hard time using the Ikea Home Planner, everytime I tired to use it I just found myself pounding my head to the pc screen. Glad my friend helped me out with that! I need to visit Ikea soon to see the alternatives that I have! As long as the cuppoards have a shiny surface I'm happy...atleast for now.
